How does Ebonyi State PDP plan to defeat the APC in the 2023 guber election in the state?
The party has zoned its 2023 guber ticket to the Abakaliki bloc. Those who understand the politics of Ebonyi State will agree with me that Ebonyi Central and Ebonyi North make up the Abakiliki bloc.
The party was smart to have zoned the state chairmanship to Ebonyi South. Recall that incumbent Governor Dave Umahi is from Ebonyi South and the party wants to give that geo-political zone a sense of belonging so that they can mobilise votes for the PDP.

Ebonyi Central and Ebonyi North that make up the Abakaliki bloc will decide within themselves the zone that should grab the guber ticket.
The PDP made a wise decision because zoning the Guber ticket to one Senatorial zone in Abakaliki bloc can cause division in PDP which APC can leverage to win the support of the other geo-political zone in the state.

The fact is that this zoning arrangement in PDP will make it difficult for Dave Umahi and APC to produce the next governor of the state.
Ebonyi State is a PDP State and Umahi won his election and re-election under the umbrella party. The PDP has shown its readiness to reclaim the state with this arrangement.
