Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, The president of the Nigeria Bar Association has made an appeal to the judiciary as he requested to allow proceedings at the 2023 Presidential Election Tribunal be broadcast live to the citizens of the country.

Yakubu Chonoko made the appeal while making an argument on Friday as he insisted that that a live telecast is in the interest of the Nigerian people, as Section 36 (1) and (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has already provided that judicial proceedings should be conducted in public.

This event was reported by the Pulse Nigeria on their broadcasting platform on Sunday.
Providing public access to the proceedings would meet the aspirations of the public to participate in the process, Says the president of Nigeria Bar Association.
We can recall the the presidential candidates of the People's Democratic Party and Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi filed a petition the tribunal to challenge the Victory of he president elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
