Evidently, archbishop Desmond Tutu is one of the most respected persons in the African continent and many other countries in the world.
The octogenarian has displayed his leadership quality on several occasions. There is no doubt that archbishop Tutu is not just a religious leader but also a social and political leader.
He has participated in so many sociopolitical activities both in South Africa and many other countries.
For instance, he is believed to be very active during the anti apartheid protest in South Africa, he is said to be one of the major personalities who fought against the obnoxious apartheid rule.
Archbishop Tutu is said to have been giving birth to on the 7th day of October, 1931 and he is celebrating his 89th birthday anniversary today, 7th of October, 2020.
He is said to be an alumnus of King's College London, and University of London.
Given his sacrificed towards the eradication of apartheid rule in South Africa he won the Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 1984.
He is believed to have married Mrs Nomalizo Leah in the 50s, and they have been living happily for more than 6 decades. Their marriage is blessed with four children which include: Mpho Andrea Tutu, Trevor Thamsanqa Tutu, Theresa Thandeka Tutu, and Naomi Nontombi Tutu.
