A three-man panel chaired by former Gombe State Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo on the conduct of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congresses in Ondo State presented its findings and recommendations to the PDP National Working Committee in Abuja on Wednesday.
Insider sources at the PDP National Secretariat at the Wadata House in Abuja confirmed to Starnews NG that the Appeals Panel urged the PDP National Working Committee to set aside the alleged list of PhD delegates, while confirming the list of authentic delegates duly drawn up by the Ward Congresses in their recommendations in advance of the Government Primary scheduled for July 22, 2020.
Starnews NG reports that seven days before the PDP governorship in Ondo state, seven candidates, the Elder Council and the PDP Caretaker Committee had raised an alarm over the illegal inclusion of 101 fake names in the delegates' list to substitute legitimate names in favor of a single applicant.
They prayed to the Thanksawambo-led appeal panel of the Adhoc delegates' congresses to nullify the manipulated list and to return to the true results of the ad hoc delegates' party congresses.
