1) Nnamdi Azikiwe: he is from Anambra state. He was one of the freedom fighters of Nigeria's independence and was also the first ever president of Nigeria from 1963 to 1966 until he was ousted by the first military coup which took place in the same 1966 while he was in America for an official meeting.
2) Aguiyi Ironsi: After Nnamdi Azikiwe was outed as president of Nigeria, it was now time for military to take over, Ironsi became the first ever military governor in the whole of Nigeria and also in the whole of Africa. He was also responsible for suspending federalism and introducing a new system of government which was the unitary. He later died in the year 1966 in an assassination plot which happened during what is known as the counter coup.
