Born Aliko Dangote on April 10, 1957 into a wealthy Hausa Muslim family in Kano. He was born to the respected family of Mohammed Dangote and Mariya Sanusi Dantata who was the daughter Of Sanusi Dantata.
Dangote is the founder and chairman of Dangote Group of Companies, a conglomerate with lines of businesses under it. His Dangote Cement plant in Obajana, Kogi State is the largest cement plant in Sub-Saharan Africa with 10.25 million tonnes per year.
What many people may not know about the richest black man in Africa is his former wife who gave birth to his beautiful daughters.
The name of Dangote former wife is, Mariya A D Muhammad Rufai who is the daughter of former commissioner for Women Affairs and Human Services in Bauchi state.
Although, Mariya and Dangote may not be together again as husband and wife, but she was physically present during the wedding of her beautiful daughter, Fatima Dangote, who has a striking resemblance with her.
