Nigeria Losing Its Glory As Twitter Announces Ghana As Operational Headquarters, See Reaction Online

The co-founder and CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey in a tweet today announced the company’s presence on the continent of Africa and Ghana as its operational headquarters.

The tweet was duly acknowledged by Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo on his official Twitter page;

Twitter went ahead to explain why Ghana was chosen from the numerous country in Africa.

Ghana won it based on the country being a champion of democracy, supporting freedom of speech, online freedom, open internet of which Twitter is an advocate.

This announcement has not gone done well with many Nigerians as they took to their Twitter handles to show concern.

This has triggered many reactions online as more Nigerians have also said a thing or two about the whole issue;

Some years ago, it was a general trend that many multinational companies were leaving Nigeria and relocating to Ghana due to the epileptic power supply in Nigeria. Gradually by the day, Nigeria is losing its Giant of Africa tag.

Well, Ghana see to be having things go well for them in recent years, as on the currency market, the Ghanaian cedis have more strength compared to the Nigeria Naira as shown below;
