As a matter of fact, the January 14, Supreme Court's decision, set aside the Governorship of Hon. Emeka Ihedioha and declared Hope Uzodinma as the Governor of Imo State. Regardless of the different protest and the news it generated, the decision was irreversible.
You may recall that Hon. Emeka Ihedioha's application was turned, down with the fact that the Supreme Court's decision is infallible, hence, should not be questioned any further.
Just as the word, "Supreme" implies, refers am individual or institution being the highest authority over other individuals or institutions and this applies to the Supreme Court, as there is no higher Court.
It may interest you to note that the Supreme Court, declared Uche Nwosu, as the All Progressives Congress' Gubernatorial candidate, for the 2019 elections, thereby setting aside Hope Uzodinma as the APC's Governorship candidate.
Interestingly, Governor Uzodinma is now governor, but that does not nullify the Supreme Court's decision on the All Progressives Congress, being Uche Nwosu.
In my opinion, the Supreme Court's decision, is irreversible. Hence, just as Hon. Emeka Ihedioha was set aside as governor, based on the Supreme Court's decision, on Gov. hope Uzodinma, should also make him steo aside from Governorship.
