I Hope This Community Will Be Like Lagos Where An Igbo Man Contested For HORs And Won - Oshiomhole

The former governor of Edo state and Deputy Director of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Adams Oshiomhole has been campaigning in Edo state for some days. The former governor who is also a Senatorial candidate of the APC has been campaigning from ward to ward in Edo state.

During a recent campaign held in Iyamho, a community in Etsako West local government area of Edo State which has residents from different states of country, particularly Yorubas and Igbos who reside together with the indigenes of the community. While speaking to the residents of the community, Oshiomhole told them that it doesn't matter where they come - whether they're indigenes or not,,stressing that they should live together in peace.

He also emphasize that he wants the community to be like other places such as Lagos where an Igbo man from the South-East coil come and contest a house of reps election and win in Ikeja. He said he's also expecting the community to grow to an extent where somebody from the South-west can become a Councillor representing the community. He says they're all the same regardless of where they come from.

In his words "I want this village to be a typical example of what Nigeria should be if we can manage our diversity very very well. I hope we will grow to a level where this community will be like Lagos where an Igbo man in Lagos contested for House of Reps in Lagos and he won - to represent somewhere in Ikeja. I want this to grow to a level where somebody from the South-west can become a Councillor representing Iyamho"
