2 PDP Governors From The Southern Region Who Have Vowed Never To Defect To Another Political Party

The just-concluded Anambra Governorship election has shown how convenient politicians can switch political parties.

Even with the gale of defection from one party to the other, two People's Democratic Party Governors from the Southern region of Nigeria have vowed not to defect to another political platform.

1. Godwin Obaseki :

Godwin Obaseki, who is a key chieftain of the People's Democratic Party has vowed not to defect to All Progressives Congress or any other political parties in the country.

The former APC member who defected to the PDP to contest the 2020 Edo Governorship election stated on Saturday that he has no plans to switch political parties no matter the persuasion because he doesn't need to join another political party to develop Edo State.

2. Okezie Ikpeazu :

Okezie Ikpeazu, a top chieftain of People's Democratic Party is the executive Governor of Abia State in the South East region of Nigeria.

Last week, the President of Nigeria Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan urged him to join the All Progressive Congress but the Governor maintained that he will remain in PDP to continue providing dividends of democracy to the people of Abia State.

Ikpeazu described himself as a Bishop in the PDP with a large 'Cathedral' and followership.
