The meeting of the Southeast Governors' Forum will be held between the five states governors in the Southeast geopolitical zone, some leaders of the Ohanaeze, some political leaders in the geopolitical zone, some religious leaders and some traditional leaders in the southeast geopolitical zone. There are anxieties on the likely issues that will be discussed at the meeting and what effect the outcomes of the meeting may have on the national pace.

However, considering the present security and political natures of the Southeast geopolitical zone, the meeting between the five states governors in the Southeast geopolitical zone, some leaders of the Ohanaeze, some political leaders in the geopolitical zone, some religious leaders and some traditional leaders in the southeast geopolitical zone might have, probably, been called to take cogent decisions on two issues that are currently affecting the geopolitical zone.

One, lack of unity among the five states governors of Southeastern state may likely be resolved at the meeting that will take place at the Enugu State Government House (Lion Building), Independence Layout, Enugu on Tuesday, October 4, 2021. The lack of unity among the southeast governors had prevented them from speaking in one voice, on issues affecting the region particularly and the country, at large.

The invited leaders of Ohanaeze, political leaders, religious leaders and the traditional rulers may take up the responsibility of reconciling the five states governors in the region so that they will come out of the meeting as a family.

Considerably, the outcome of the Tuesday meeting may, surely, resolve the lack of unity among the five states governors in the Southeast and they should be expected to be more united, than ever before. Consequently, they may begin to speak in one voice to seek outright solutions to some issues disturbing the region.

Secondly, the five states governors in the Southeast geopolitical zone, some leaders of the Ohanaeze, some political leaders in the geopolitical zone, some religious leaders and some traditional leaders in the southeast geopolitical zone may, decisively, take position on the stance of the region on the issue of insecurity that is battling the geopolitical zone.

In the course of restoring peace and orderliness in Southeast geopolitical zone, the five states governors in the Southeast geopolitical zone, some leaders of the Ohanaeze, some political leaders in the geopolitical zone, some religious leaders and some traditional leaders in the southeast geopolitical zone may, unfailingly, pick a date for the inauguration of the Southeast regional security outfit, Ebubeagu, across the five states in the region.

This may, hopefully, raise hope and ensure restoration of peace and security to the Southeast geopolitical zone. Although, the decision to launch the regional security outfit, Ebubeagu, across the five states in the region may raise another restive moment but the unity of the states governors will, surely, curtail the fightback of the criminals that Ebubeagu may want to come down on.
