2023: Tunde Bakare opens up on contesting for Presidency

Tunde Bakare, the founder of Citadel Global Community Church, has stated that he will not rule out running for President in 2023. He disclosed this following a private visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday, while fielding questions from State House media.

"Every Nigerian who is of legal age and is not otherwise disqualified is free." Why not? I'm a nation builder, and if God wants me to do something that the people of Nigeria will appreciate, why not? I have complete freedom to do whatever I want with my time. I've been a pastor for 33 years, and now we're training new leaders. Bakare stated, "I want to concentrate on nation-building."

"The President's Office is only one office; there are so many other things we can do as citizens to support whoever is in charge of ensuring that we do not regress, but instead continue to make steady development as a people." Mr. President, I've previously discussed my future plans to him, and it's between us."

Nigeria will hold general elections to elect the President, Vice President, House of Representatives, and Senate on February 18, 2023.

What do you think about Tunde Bakare's ambition to become President? I will love to see your opinion in the comments section below.
