Buhari Orders Service Chiefs....
Without a doubt the insecurity issues in the country has been overwhelming. However, it now seems the pleas from Nigerians have been heard by the president, as he has now ordered the service chiefs to kill bandits, Boko Haram and their sponsors. This order was given on Tuesday just before travelling to London for medical Check-up. Buhari added that his administration would no longer accept the reign of terror unleashed on parts of the country by bandits, kidnappers, and Boko Haram insurgents.
Bayelsa Gives Herdsmen 14-day ultimatum....
Over some time now, the Fulani herdsmen have proven to be a torn in Nigeria's flesh. However, following the herdsmen issues in bayelsa state, the governor, Duoye Diriof, has now issued a 14-day ultimatum to Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) to remove their cattle from Yenagoa. The statement which was given said: “We have agreed that we give them a moratorium period of 10 days, and by the 14th day, which falls on the 10th of April, we will start impounding (cows). If you are interested in the cattle business in Bayelsa, the governor has opened up business opportunities of the huge value chain in the meat business. It is time now. If you have land and want to ranch, you can ranch since we are going purely for ranching. If you want to plant grass and sell for cattle, you can sell."
Rise in Covid-19...
There has been a rise in the number of affected Covid-19 cases in Nigeria. According to the latest reports, the nation has now recorded 48 new cases, raising the number of affected persons to 162,641. This reports were released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday.
