Obi Storms Court To Witness Judgment On INEC’S Request

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party LP, Mr Peter Obi has stormed the Court of Appeal, Abuja to witness the Court’s judgment in an application by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) seeking to vary the court’s order for inspection of materials used for the conduct of the February 25 presidential election.

Obi was accompanied to the court room by a retinue of the party’s chieftains, comprising the Senator elect for Anambra Central, Chief Victor Umeh.

The presidential candidate who is billed to challenge the outcome of the February 25 Presidential election at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal was heralded into the court room by a retinue of lawyers including Senior Advocates of Nigeria SANS.

Atiku Rallies support For PDP Candidates

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for coming out to vote in last week’s elections.

He, however, appealed to them not to be weary in the pursuit of a just and egalitarian society but to come out in record members to vote for PDP candidates in Saturday’s Governorship and National Assembly elections.

Atiku made the appeal in a statement he made available to newsmen, in Abuja, on Tuesday.

He said, “I thank Nigerians immensely for their high sense of patriotism in bracing the odds to perform their civic duty during the February 25 presidential election.

“I truly appreciate their resilience, tenacity, and courage. It is indeed heart-warming that they have faith in rescuing and rebuilding our great country, as envisioned by our great party, the PDP.

I remain PDP’s candidate for Enugu East Senatorial race — Nnamani

Former Governor of Enugu state and Senator currently representing Enugu East, Chimaroke Nnamani, has dismissed his purported expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a ruse.

He maintained that he has been properly cleared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to contest Saturday’s polls.

Senator Nnamani assured his constituents that his candidature for the election is irrevocable saying “ my people are with me . They have fully endorsed me”.

Election results: Atiku hires 19 SANs to challenge Tinubu’s victory

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has hired a legal team comparing 19 Senior Advocates of Nigeria to challenge the outcome of the February 25 election.

Recall that Atiku and Peter Obi of the Labour Party had rejected the results of the presidential elections alleging that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC rigged the poll in favour of its candidate, Bola Tinubu.

The two aggrieved parties and their candidates had gone to court to seek redress.

Briefing newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, Atiku said about 19 SANs are already on ground to take up the case, asking them to “establish the claim of illegality in the election and reclaim the mandate of the Nigerian people.”
