My Candid Advice to PDP, APC, INEC and Security Agencies Ahead Of Edo State Guber Race [Opinion]

Barely 64 days to the Edo State forthcoming Governorship election. Making plans during political permutations is something that is adopted right from the inception.

As Edo 19th September election is getting closer, supporters of some candidates in the election are getting more desperate by days.

The two major contenders in this election are Governor Godwin Obaseki of People Democratic Party PDP, who recently defected to the party and also their flag bearer in September 19 election. While Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu would fly the ruling All Progressive Congress APC.

I'm using this medium to admonished the candidates and political parties involves in the process to eschew violence and maintained a civilised approach to any arising issues.

Main political parties, especially PDP and APC to ensure that they campaigned peacefully.

Politics Its not a do or die business. Therefore at the end of the day, people should still survive at the end of the election, the bitterness has been too much as I observed. From the look of things, people have shown that they are ready to go to any extreme without any limitation to do any injury to the other side.

Recalla, the Senior Special Assistant to the deputy Governor of Edo State Mr. Philip Shaibu was caught in the company of some of his boys with the firearms.

Political parties should maintain peace and civilised approach to politics. They should campaign peacefully and allow the people to decide themselves who they want as their governor.

To thia end, I'm calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, and the different security agencies to make the election free, fair and credible.
