Following the outcome of the 2023 presidential election that produced Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President elect of Nigeria, different citizens of Nigeria have expressed displeasure over the outcome of the election and blamed the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission for not allowing the will of the masses to prevail during the election
Different people have accused the INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu of rigging the 2023 Presidential election in favour of Bola Ahmed Tinubu against the will of the masses.
They have told Professor Mahmoud Yakubu that, he failed to fulfil the promises he made to the citizens of Nigeria before the election started.
Meanwhile, the President Elect has finally exposed the major secret that made him to win the 2023 Presidential election in Nigeria and revealed what he did to win the election.
This was contained in a press statement issued by Bola Ahmed Tinubu while commissioning Rumoukuta/ Rumoula flyover in Rivers State.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu said that, he went through what he described as a gruesome political campaign to win the 2023 presidential election. He said that, he' s happy for emerging victorious in the recently concluded presidential election despite the gruesome campaign. The President- elect said he fought hard during the campaign to emerge victorious at the poll.
Speaking further, he said that, despite the hurdles and campaigns against him by the opposition party, he won the election and assured Nigerians that his administration will not marginalise any part of the country. " It an honour and privilege to be in your midst today and I am a very happy man" . " I' m happy because, I went through a gruesome campaign, fought hard, supported by many of you, and I won" . " I will leave legacy projects across the length and breadth of Nigeria" . " I will never forget the pivotal role the great and wonderful people of this state played in my victorious campaign to become the next president of this country and you have my eternal gratitude" .
Bola Ahmed Tinubu further revealed how Governor Wike helped him to win the presidential election and thanked him for his unalloyed support.
" In his excellency, Governor Wike, I see a man of principle, he took a principled stand that the presidency should be returned to the South; and he had the courage to stand by his convictions, not minding whose ox was gored" .
" He is, indeed, a man of great integrity, he did not choose to serve his own interests, but rather, the interests of the nation and the people of Rivers state and I tank him for his selfless leadership" .
Meanwhile, the statement made by Bola Ahmed Tinubu has generated allot of response from different people all over the country as many people have said that, he didn' t win the election in accordance to the due process of Law.
