The National Chairman of The All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu have denied distributing bags of rice to IDPs in Borno State. According to Tinubu, he has no prior knowledge of the act. As he is not responsible for the distribution of rice in Borno.
Recall that there were reports in the news that bags of rice were being distributed to Internal Displaced Persons in Borno. The rice which contained the photograph of Bola Tinubu with the inscription of "Jagaba" on it, was aimed to cushion the hardship faced by IDPs during the period of Ramadan.
Despite refuting the claim that he was responsible for the distribution of food to IDPs in Borno, Tinubu didn't hesitate to commend the group or groups responsible for the kind gesture.
In a statement made by his Media Aide, Tunde Rahman, Tinubu commend the groups for their benevolence. Adding that it is a act of charity and love for one another particularly in this holy month of Ramadan.
