In most countries, and Nigeria in particular law enforcers are expected to hang up their boots by the time they attain the age of 60 years. This was made possible by president Mohammad Buhari as he amended the Police Act, which said the retirement age of police officers at 60 years of age or 35 years of service.

A 91 years old man recognises as officer LC 'Buckshot' Smith has retained his 56-year-long career as a law enforcer and this is enough to impress anyone in any law enforcement agency.
Smith enlisted in the force back in the 1960s as he was very persuaded by the job. Over the years, he appeared to be popular as a loyal and hardworking partner of the team, according to a CNN report.
Officer Smith is adored by everyone in his hometown. Many are even seen stopping in the streets to have a word with him. The man has added 30 years to the standard retirement age of 60. However, Officer Smith is 91-years-old and he is still a cop. Information has it that Office Smith has retired once After working as a deputy sheriff for 46 tears. But just a few days after retirement, he realised he wasn't cut out for regular life, he comes back and continues. His 92nd birthday is emerging in May.
