Nnamdi Kanu: ‘We Won’t Allow IPOB Sit-at-home Order In North’ - CNG

Northern groups under the auspices of Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) have vowed not to allow Igbos resident in the North not to adhere to the one month sit-at-home order issued by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in protest against the continued detention of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

CNG spokesman, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman while addressing newsmen in Abuja said the organization will ensure that the business establishments of any Igbo man in the North who adhere to the directive is revoked.

Assuring that Igbos in the North are not threatened, he stressed that anyone who abides by the instructions of a proscribed group which has taken arms against Nigeria is an enemy of the State and indeed the North. Such a person, he said will be held accountable.

The group also kicked against the zoning of the 2023 presidency to any geopolitical region, describing it as undemocratic. The Northern zone, Suleiman said will reject any political party which does so.
