Edo Decides: Inter-Religious Women In Politics Meet, Record Tremendous Success
The Inter-Religious women in politics on Monday, September 7th and on Thursday, September 10th met in Benin City for their usual feedback meetings with all its members.
The Inter-Religious women in politics is a political pressure group made up of all religious women in the State irrespective of denomination or religious status.
Led under the chairmanship of Dr Philomena Abieyuwa Eriyo, the inter-religious women in politics is playing a key role to give very special attention to increasing the participation of women in decision-making in all areas of life.
The back to back meetings was tremendously successful as over 75 new members were inducted during both meetings.
Members present submitted their list of OPERATION 1- WOMAN TO 10 WOMEN and stood by their members they brought.
The role the Inter-Religious women in politics play in the empowerment of women in the society can not be undermined.
They have resolved to play a major role in the forthcoming Edo Gubernatorial poll.
The group is fully in support of the candidacy of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Mallam Gani Audu and have a voters strength(PVC) of over 50000 women across the State.
