Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has said that Kwarans based in Lagos will do everything possible to ensure the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. According to the report published by Daily Trust, the minister said that they are ready to sleep at garages and markets to cast their votes and ensure that it is counted. Speaking further, he said that Kwarans have been very successful in Lagos and it is now time to pay back the kind gesture.
He assured Governor Sanwo-Olu and the President-elect, Bola Tinubu that the people of Kwara State in Lagos aren't ingrates, adding that they will not leave their polling units until the governor is declared the winner. He also tasked the people to deliver their polling units for Sanwo-Olu on the day of the election.
"The people of Lagos have given my people the opportunities they have never been given anywhere before. We are gathered here to reassure Asiwaju and Sanwo-Olu that we the people of Kwara State in Lagos are not ingrates. We will sleep at garages and markets to cast our votes. We will not leave until our votes are counted and Mr. Governor is declared the winner."
