The Senator-elect of Abia South Senatorial District, Enyinnaya Abaribe while collecting his certificate of return has revealed how he was able to survive what he describes as the 'Labour Party and Obidatti wave in the South East'.
He said the strong wave brought into Nigerian politics by the presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi and his running mate Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed almost swept everybody in the Southeast but he was spared because of the love the people have for him. He further expressed gratitude to the people of his Senatorial District for helping win.
He said "It was a nice election and was going normally until we saw the OBIDATTI wave in the South-East and it almost consumed everybody and it showed me the love that our people have for me because I was able to survive that wave."
The Senator-elect is one of the people who won under the platform of APGA after he polled a total of 49,903 votes to defeat his closest rival from the Labour Party.
