Reactions As Report Claims That The Lady Obi Gave Money To Buy Oven Is From An Influential Home

Report has emerged claiming that the lady the Labour Party presidential candidate in the February 25th election, Peter Obi, gave money to buy an oven for her bakery business is from an influential home.

It should be recalled that during his press conference after the February 25th presidential election, Peter Obi almost shed tears while lamenting the suffering that Nigerians are passing through.

He also narrated the experience he had with a young graduate known as Sophia whom he claimed could not secure a job since she graduated from the university. He said that the lady said that she was trying to set up a bakery business but did not have N75,000 to buy an oven.

He said that is the life you get in Nigeria, people who don't have N75,000 to buy oven.

A few days after that, Obi released photos of himself and the lady, and said that he has given the young lady money to buy an oven.

He said - "Today, I fulfilled my pledge to assist Ms Gimba Sophia Emmanuel in her aspiration to acquire an oven and start her baking and confectionery business. She also indicated that she will procure a made in Nigeria oven - thus enhancing the value chain and putting into effect the consumption to production mantra."

In a recent report which was made by Sahara Reporters, it has been claimed that the young lady is not from a poor family. The report claimed that is from a well-to-do home, and that her father is a senior police officer, and that she's also a member of the Labour Party campaign committee.

The report has been trailed by mixed reactions from members of the public, as some people have said that one could come from an influential home and still not have N75,000 to buy an oven.
