Political Party Chairmen In A'bom State Secure Court Injunction Against IPAC

According to reports, the Political Party Chairmen in Akwa Ibom State have secured a court injunction as IPAC National Chairman allegedly receive an undisclosed amount from the state Government to support the governor's faction in a charade termed election of Interim State Management Committee.

The report alleged that the National Chairman of IPAC Interim management committee, Dr Leonard Nzenwa and his EXCO are in a money making spree round the South South states in the name of elections.

A letter inviting political parties to harmonise the State's Interim Management Committee stated that the meeting was to hold at the INEC Secretariat of respective states.

The meeting was also designed to be supervised by INEC officials in those states.

Armed by financial inducement, the national chairman of IPAC has been allegedly holding illegal meetings and throwing up names sponsored by State governors, an action frowned at by IPAC standards.

Information reaching our stables from the State Chairmen of political parties in Akwa Ibom has it that while 10 Party Chairmen were waiting at INEC Secretariat on Thursday, July 16 2020, the national officials gathered in an undisclosed location with only 8 Chairmen and later announced them as Interim State Management Committee members.

The aggrieved members have since secured an injunction to stop the purported kangaroo arrangement from holding.

INEC is set to honour the injunction because they were not part of the evil agenda of the national leadership of IPAC.

The Interim State Management Committee elections of IPAC in Cross River State is billed to hold on Friday, 17th July, 2020 at the Independent National Electoral Commission Secretariat, Calabar.
