#Urlu Airstrike: See What Nigerian Army Says

Thursday, February 18 is reportedly a panic day for the dwellers of urlu in urlu local government area of Imo state as a fighting elecopter belonging to Nigeria Army is reportedly flying at a low altitude in order to track down the newly formed Eastern security network (ESN), which was formed by the independent people of biafra (IPOB).

Personnels of Nigeria Army were deployed to the city and the neighbouring villages in order to track down the newly formed ESN.

The airstrike brings fears in the inhabitants. As at now, the airstrike has attracted global attention. The recent tweet about urlu airstrike is now 68, 900 tweets while that of Nigerian army is now trending at 13, 400 tweets.

However, while reacting to the incidence, the army spokesperson of the 34 artillery Brigade, Obinze, Owerri, Imo state, Babatunde Zubairu through whom the Army firmed the operation said the operation was based on military intelligence. 

Though many of the tweets from urlu claimed that there was mass bombardment and killing in the area, DAILY INDEPENDENT only revealed the confirmation of military helicopter flying at a very low altitude in the area. No killing or bombardment is yet recorded at the incidence.
