The pan Igbo socio-political organisation Ohanaeze Ndigbo and the pan Yoruba Socio-cultural organisation Afenifere, have replied a presidential aide, Femi Adesina after he reportedly compared President Muhammadu Buhari to Nnamdi Azikiwe and Obafemi Awolowo.
While replying Femi Adesina, the National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Jare Ajayi, described the comparison that was made by Adesina as mischievous and mistaken.
According to Punch report, the Afenifere spokesperson made this disclosure in a statement that was released by the group, yesterday, Friday.
Speaking further, Afenifere's spokesperson made it known that people are only attracted to Buhari, because he is the president and nothing more.
On the other hand, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo described Adesina's claim as false.
Ohanaeze spokesperson, Chief Ogbonnia stated it clearly that there are a lot of things one could talk about Nnamdi Azikiwe and Obafemi Awolowo, but when you look at Buhari, unfortunately, one cannot compare their personalities with Buhari.
He further pointed out that Awolowo and Azikiwe listened to people's opinions, but Buhari does not listen to people's opinions.
That's a good one from Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Afenifere. I don't see any reason why Femi Adesina should make such comparison. But nevertheless, he is entitled to his personal opinion.
