New SIM registration to resume April 19 with NIN ― FG
The federal government have given fresh update on sim card registration for Nigerians. The government have declared 19th April the day in which sim activation with Mandatory NIN will commence. The minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami issued this directive on Thursday and he said that this was in line with The Revised National Digital Identity Policy for Sim Card Registration.
A statement by the Technical Assistant (Information Technology) to the Minister, Dr Femi Adeluyi said the implementation of the Policy will commence on Monday, 19th of April 2021. He also pleaded with NCC and NIMC to ensure that the provisions of this policy are duly followed.
You can’t become President without Rivers votes – Wike
The Governor of River State, Nyesom Wike have made it known that anyone who is jostling to become the president of this country will have to secure the vote of River State indigenes and then join it with the likes Kano or Lagos Votes in order to emerge victorious.
“In Nigeria, nobody wins presidency if you didn’t win either Rivers and Lagos or Kano and Lagos together. Rivers is not a state anybody can joke with. Some states went to negotiate with them. Rivers didn’t do it,” the governor said. He made this statement during the closing ceremony of the PDP local election campaign day.
