Since leaving office as governor of Lagos state, Tinubu has not been elected to any political position. He ran the state for eight years until giving it over to one of his political godsons, who happens to be Buhari's current Minister of Works.

So, if he decides to run for any political office, including the presidency, who knows, he might be the solution to Nigeria's issues, as he has the expertise, experience and personality to be a great leader.

Let's see two reasons why the former Lagos state governor should contest for the presidency despite all odds.

Tinubu is loved by millions of people in Nigeria

Some regions of the country, particularly in the north, are already asking for him to run for president in the upcoming presidential election in the country.

His experience as an elder statesman will be beneficial to the country

Another reason he should run for president is that he has accumulated sufficient experience to benefit the country. Aside from political ties and personal concerns, Tinubu is one of the most qualified candidates to succeed Buhari in 2023.

On this note, Nigerians should give him a chance to be the country's next president.
