Few Weeks After #EndSARS Protest, This Is What Happened To A Protester At The Airport That Got People Talking

Few weeks after the #EndSARS protest, one of the protesters known as Modupe Odele, a US trained Nigerian Attorney, was confronted at the Airport by suspected DSS officials and her International passport was seized from her.

According to reports, the lady was stopped on Sunday, November 1st, while trying to leave the country for a short birthday holiday.

They still have her passport and never told her what her offense/crime was.

Reports of this have sparked reactions on social media, with many people expressing their displeasure in the things this President Buhari administration have been doing to silence people who try to speak up against them.

It's gathered that Modupe's only crime was setting up a defense system for youths during the #EndSARS protest.

"She and others did in two weeks what the office of the Public defender (Nigeria government) hasn't done in decades. Seizing her passport is a violation of her right to free movement," a Twitter user said.

The likes of Oby Ezekwesili has also reacted to the news and has written to the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, to immediately retrieve Modupe Odele's passport from the State Security Service and deliver it to her with apologies.

She went further to say that President Muhammadu Buhari's keeps digging deeper into the sea level with the way they are trying to repress the rights of young Nigerians and #EndSARS protesters.

Moe Odele tweeted this morning about the incident but didn't give much details of what happened.
