Abia 2023: Top 3 Politicians That May Succeed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu


Ahead of Abia 2023 Governorship election, some notable politicians has set to slug it out for the number one seat in the State. Notable among the Aspirant's are:

1. Alex Otti

Alex Otti, 56, was born on February 18th 1965, is a Nigerian economist, banker, investor, philanthropist and a notable politician. Otti is the former Group Managing Director of Diamond Bank PLC, a leading retail financial institution in Nigeria. However, Otti was a gubernatorial candidate of Abia State on the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA). He was the gubernatorial candidate of APGA during the 2015 and 2019 general election, shorty after the 2019 general election, he decamped to All Progressive Congress (APC).

2. Uche Ogha

Uchechukwu S. Ogah (born 22 December 1969), is an oil magnate, entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist, an elite politician who is the President of Master Energy Group, a conglomerate with over 15 subsidiaries and interest across a variety of industries. He was the 2019 governorship candidates of the All progressive Congress in Abia State. In August 2019, he was appointed as minister of mine and steel development.

3. Ude Oko Chukwu

Rt. Hon. Sir, Ude Oko Chukwu, 59 presently serves as the Deputy Governor of Abia State after he was elected into office in 2015 under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Prior to his swearing-in as Deputy Governor, he had served as the Speaker of the 5th Abia State House of Assembly (2011- 2015). Rt. Hon. Sir, Ude Oko Chukwu was nominated by the People's Democratic Party, Abia State as the Running mate to Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 general election's.
