Chief Joe Agi Emerges winner of APC primary election of Cross River North.

Chief Joe Agie (SAN)has finally emerged winner of the All Progressive Congress to contest for the Northern Cross River State senatorial seat on october 31 bye- election.

The chairman of the election panel,Alhaji Suleiman Nakowa announced chief Agi's as winner of the election.


The chairman announced chief Agi winner after scoring the total of 113,229 votes to defeat his closest rival,Professor Zana Akpagu the outgoing Vice Chancellor of university of Calabar who got the total of 8,635 votes.

The chairman for the APC electoral commitee for the Cross River North Senetorial District Bye-Election 202,in person of Alhaji Suleiman Nakowa and Hon.Jenkin Gwede his Secretary,after submitting the result to the Director of Organization of the party on Friday September 4,2020 made it open to the newsmen.

Meanwhile,other contestants such as Harry G. Odey scored 2,708 votes followed Ochicha O.Anthony with 5,838 votes while Mr Fidelis Ebi Egoro 2,151 votes.

Alhaji Suleiman Nakowa said thatfor Joe Agi winning the election with the highest number of votes and having been declared winner of the primary election will be the standard bearer of the All Progressive Congress in the forth coming Cross River North senatorial bye-election.

The bye-election was to fill the vacuum created by the death of late Senator Rose Oko,which had been made void after her passing.
