Rivers State APC In Shambles

Rivers State All Progressive Congress, APC, has been left in shambles by a fresh order of injunction secured by a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Igo Aguma, to restrain the APC from conducting ward, local government and state congresses.

AGUMA, who is a former House of Representative member of PHALGA Constituency 1 also secured an order against the chairman of five-man Caretaker Committee in the state, Isaac Ogbobula and the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomole to refrain them from carrying out any activity in respect of the subject matter in the pending application.

The Presiding judge, Justice KINGLSEY CHUKU, who gave the order, declared that the defendants in the matter must respect the order to avoid foisting a fait accompli to the court pending the outcome of the application.

According to the order " the defendants are to forthwith refrain or desist from carrying out any other or further act or activities with respect to or in furtherance of the subject matter of those suit or the pending application as mark of respect to the court with respect to whatever shall be the outcome of the pending application"

Justice CHUKU, adjourned till 27th January 2020 for definite hearing.

This order is coming few days after a Rivers State High Court struck out an injunction secured by one, Ibrahim Umar and twenty two others against the party's congresses.
