However, in the build-up to the 2023 election, we have seen many prominent members of the People's Democratic Party ( PDP ) defecting to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in their large number, which made Nigeria believe that "PDP may have come to a crossroad. the most recent was the report from the Red chamber of the National Assembly, while the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan said “many more” senators from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will soon jump ship into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). he asserted while reading defection letters of three senators of the PDP who tendered their defection letters before the Senate on Wednesday.
