The governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello has Commended the president of Nigeria, president Muhammadu Buhari.
The governor of Kogi state appreciated the president of Nigeria, president Muhammadu Buhari for the efforts he put in place to ensure that the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPADEC) is made functional. This was made possible after 11 years the act establishing the commission was promulgated.
The governor made this commendation on president Muhammadu Buhari when the Governing Council and the management of the commission paid the Governor a courtesy visit in Lokoja the Kogi state capital.
Governor Yahaya Bello who was represented by his deputy, Edward Onoja, talked about the menace of flooding and how the flooding has affected Kogi state in the area of agriculture which is the main source of income for the state over the years.
The HYPADEC is specifically responsible for the management of ecological menace in entirety.
