It is well known that the part of the country experiencing insecurity the most is the northern part but Usman Alkali Baba, Acting Inspector General of Police has said that the security situations in the South-South and South East geopolitical zones of Nigeria are critical.
According to report from NAN, The Acting IGP made this known on Friday, 9th of April, 2021 at the opening of a meeting he had with police strategic commanders in the zones which was held at Abuja.
He said the challenges would need the force to reorganize it operational strategies ensure that the issue were put to an end.
Usman Baba said the purpose of the meeting was to discuss security issues of this two regions and resolve them adding to it that the commanders will go back to their respective zones after to implement what they've discussed in the meeting.
He further said, it is not that there is no challenges in the other geopolitical zones, but they need to be addressed one by one that calling all commisioners of Police and senior officers to meeting would not be right at this time because of the Covid-19 rules and regulations.
Why do you think the Acting IGP is talking about South-South and South-east instead of the Northern regions.
