Reports had it that there was tension at the Bode Thomas junction in Surulere as thugs allegedly belonging to the APC attacked a gathering of the Labour Party supporters at a restaurant.
It was reported that the supporters of the Labour Party were gathered for campaign activities when their meeting was Interrupted by a gang of hoodlums who attacked them with weapons and vandelized the restaurant. In a video currently serving rounds on social media, a man who witnessed the incident could be lamenting how they were robbed in broad daylight by the hoodlums.
He said they were threatened by the hoodlums who claimed that they're APC supporters and also warned them not to campaign for the Labour Party. He also revealed that some of them were injured in the attack and are currently receiving treatment.
"Hoodlums they came here saying they're APC supporters, they said we cannot do anything and Labour Party should not come out to campaign because Lagos belongs to them. They stabbed a lot of people so many of them are in the hospital right now. They collected more than 20 phones, they vandelized the vehicles, they break the eateries, everything here was chattered away. The police is just coming in now, this is on the 16th day of March 2023... "Everybody you see here, their phones were stolen."
