The Eastern Security Network (ESN) was created by the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on the 12 of December 2020. This was created to help in the restoration of Biafra Independent and also to protect the Eastern part of Nigeria from the Fulani headsmen.
The IPOB which was created with the sole aim of peaceful restoration of Biafra without the intention of going armed was tagged a terrorist group by the Federal Government. But some of the followers of the movement has disagreed with this policy and decided to pick arms and defend themselves. This was especially after the clampdown during the Operation Python Dance when an attack on the home of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Afaraukwu-Ibeku resulted in dozens of the group's members' death and the disappearance of the IPOB leader himself.
The Eastern Security Network have decided to be out for anything and to guild the entire South East. Few weeks back, the Eastern Security Network battled it with the Nigerian army in Orlu Imo state which has been tagged as the Orlu crises.
