The All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed on Wednesday, 20th July 2021 that the party would elicit a consensus presidential candidate for the general elections in 2023.
Senator John Akpanudoehede, who is the National Secretary of APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, announced the intention of the political party in a statement on Wednesday in FCT, Abuja.
The reaction was due to the claim which was made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s that President Muhammadu Buhari was aiming at a self-succession proposition.
All Progressives Congress (APC) emphasized its intention to embrace the consensus option for the election of party administrators at all levels to curtail enmity.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed to surprise the People's Democratic Party (PDP) after the party's congresses and the National Convention, by bringing a consensus and an acceptable aspirant that will raise the party higher come 2023.
