Check Out Photos of Queen Elizabeth II's First Visit to Nigeria in 1956.

Born on the 21st of April 1929 in London, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary took over after the death of her father in 1952 as the head of the Commonwealth and Queen regnant of all common wealth nations.

Queen Elizabeth has visited Nigeria twice. The first was in 1956, a visit which lasted for 20 days between January 28, to February 16, 1956, And her second visit was in 2003 when she came for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting which lasted for four days between December 3rd to 6th.
