Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo Reacts To Ayade's New Appointments

The Cross River State Governor has in the early hours of Tuesday approved the appointments of eight persons into his government.

The appointments had raised eye brows as to which Local Government was fit for a particular position.

Reacting to the new appointments, the federal lawmaker at the House of Representatives representing Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo stated that he had appealed to the governor for the position of the SUBEB Chairman to come to Bekwarra, should Dr. Stephen Odey win the election. But the governor has the right to appoint whosoever he wants.

This was made known on a post he made on his personal Facebook account.

See his full statement below.

"The Governor has a right to appoint whosoever he wants into any position. On our part, we can only agitate and appeal for positions for our people. During the campaigns for Dr Steven Odey’s senatorial race in Bekwarra, I constantly made an appeal for the position of Chairman SUBEB to come to Bekwarra should Dr Odey win the senate race.

"When he emerged, I also made a direct appeal to His Excellency to consider any Bekwarra son of his choice for the the position. His Excellency explained to me that he would not want to take that position away from Yala and that bekwarra would be given a compensatory position.

For our Bekwarra brothers that feel upset that that position did not come to Bekwarra, I totally understand with you and share in your sentiments.

"However, for the mischief makers trying to use this for cheap political gains, I owe you no apologies for Bekwarra will continue to support His Excellency, Senator Prof Ben Ayade as we also pray that he keeps his promise in compensating the good people of Bekwarra.

"On this note, let me congratulate MR Omaga Odo on his appointment as Chairman, SUBEB."
