National Council of Enugu State Students (NACESS) paid courtesy visit to the Paramount Ruler of Ezeokwe Kingdom in Ibagwa-Nike of Enugu State, His Royal Highness, Dr Emmanuel O. Ugwu to applaud his leadership style and presented him a meritorious award of excellence at his palace in Enugu.
The Council did this epoch making movement in the accompany of the Speaker of Nigerian Students Parliament, Rt. Hon. Jabir Abubakar Bodinga. Rt Hon Jabir visited Enugu State in his tour of the 36 states of Nigeria targeted reawakening the spirit of student unionism in Nigeria.
According to the council, the need for the award springs from the King's fatherly role towards the Council's rapid development and ground shaking achievement so far as one of its patron.

The courtesy visit to the paramount ruler of Ezeokwe Kingdom, Ibagwa Nike was co-led by President General of the National Council of Enugu State Students, Rt Comr Onah, Onyemaechi Joseph and Rt Hon Jabir Abubakar Bodinga on July 12.
Part of the essence of the visit to the Crown was to formally present the Speaker, Nigeria Student Parliament, Rt. Hon. Jabir Abubakar Bodinga whom stated earlier is on a tour to all the thirty-six (36) states of the federation of Nigeria for a familiarization exercise with various bodies under the parliament.
The Council also used the medium to appreciate the traditional ruler who doubles as the Royal Father of the council for his enormous contribution towards the growth of the council since assumption of office by the current National Executives of National Council of Enugu State Students (NACESS).
Speaking during the visit, the President who was accompanied by some delegate of the executive council expressed happiness over the amount of attention and love showered on the council since he became a Royal Father/Patron to the council. The President General of the umbrella body for all indigenous students of Enugu state, both home and diaspora further expressed hope that the Igwe and Royal Father's ever growing commitment to the council will continue to bring about unprecedented development.

The Speaker, in a very special way, appreciated the Throne for also finding him worthy for his royal blessings.
The Speaker of the parliament that legislate for all Nigerian students said he is "very much focused towards uniting the youth of this great nation who have been blackmailed, lied to and brainwashed into believing that Nigeria is better off as a divided entity".
He further stated that if every tribe, every religion and every single individual in Nigeria could put humanity first in all that they do in the manner at which His Royal Highness, Igwe Emma O. Ugwu does, then truly our unity as country.
"People would be undoubtedly be a force to reckon with", Jabir Abubakar Bodinga said. He re-emphasized that peace would always take its course in our activities as humans here in Nigeria and the world at large. He also appreciated the National council of Enugu State Students (NACESS) for the wise thought of bringing him fort to the Royal Father.

Enemoh, Ikechukwu Chris, the Media and Publicity aide to the President of NACESS, Rt Hon Eze Izuchukwu Ochenwari and the Media aide to the Council on photography, Iloanya Prosper Kasie.
The speaker of the Nigerian Student Parliament had the privilege to present the meritorious award of excellence to his Royal Highness on behalf of the National Council of Enugu State Students. This is done, as mentioned before, in recognition and sincere appreciation of many years of distinguished services and hours of effort and selfless contribution towards the growth and success of the council under the able leadership of Rt Comr Onah Joseph Onyemaechi.
His Royal Highness while receiving the award appreciated the council and its visitor for respecting his person while he promised to continue supporting and guiding the council in every aspect deemed necessary, while he also adopted the Speaker as his own son stating.
His Royal Highness added that whenever Jabir Abubakar Bodinga feels, he is at liberty to grace the palace as he is now a member of the kingdom and a friend to the throne. He thanked everyone for coming out to honor him and blessed the council while advising it to be up and doing in its discharge of duty to the indigenous students of the state all over the country.
His Royal Highness, Igwe Emma O. Ugwu, the paramount ruler of the Ezeokwe Kingdom of Ibagwa Nike, Enugu, Enugu State didn't hesitate reminding NACESS and NSP of the expectations of the elders. He said that they, the elders expect Nigerian youths and student wings of the nation, to end and erase tribal stereotype, bring themselves together enough to cause remarkable, positive, and peaceful transformation in Nigeria.
He said that Nigeria is the only country "we have to call our homeland". "The problem Nigeria has is that we have abandoned and dumped history", Igwe slammed.
On Religious Crisis in Nigeria: the King of the good people of Ezeokwe Kingdom said that "when one does not know what one has, one will always be eluded by a little thing". He reminds the council and Nigerian students at large of their remarkable role during Nigerian agitations for sovereignty. He enjoined Nigerian youths that NACESS and NSP represent to find a way to unite providence and potentiality by uniting itself for a better Nigeria.
The King called that Nigerian Students and youths should eschew tribal stereotype, because, when one dies, God will judge one as a human, not as Igbo man, Hausa man nor Yoruba person. "Part of our problem as a nation is that we are not united, the elders expect that youths unite, struggle to unite the entire Nigeria", Igwe admonished all present.
Igwe Emma O. Ugwu said that God didn't create any of the religious denominations which now divide human beings all over the world. Igwe re-echoed that Nigerians and the world at large should go back to history, only then will all human beings realize that the oldest form of religion is humanity.
Igwe advised both student bodies to always make peace and unity of Nigeria their prime slogan just same way NACESS' slogan goes, "Ofu Ndi! Ofu Obi!" which means, "One People! One Heart!". He said that by so doing, true progress and good governance can be achieved. "Go beyond your scope and preach peace", the king charged NSP and NACESS.
