Most assuredly, if a population census were to be carried out to ascertain the number of Nigerians who would love to have President Buhari return as president, only but a few would clamour for another tenure. This is partly due to the economic downturn that has plagued the Buhari-led administration and partly the high rate of insecurity - kidnapping, banditry, and abduction.
However, Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President (SSA) on Media and Publicity, during a speech he gave to - celebrate his sixth year in office - has opined differently. According to reports, Adesina stated that Nigerians will appreciate Buhari better after his tenure in 2023, and after the Buhari-led administration wraps up its tenure, the applause will be resounding. Reports further gathered that the SSA pointed out that the impact made Buhari should be recounted and the opportunity his administration has provided should be reflected upon, as it transcends all sectors of national life.
Adesina was further alleged to have pointed out that the Buhari-led administration has been effective in areas of infrastructure, finance, education, healthcare, sports, anti-corruption, human development, housing, oil and gas, foreign relations, amidst many other points mentioned.
• Do you agree with what Femi Adesina said about Buhari and his success?
