A few days ago, the National leader of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu was verbally attacked by some Nigerians before and after his 69th birthday with the Governor of Kano State, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Before the hosting was done by Ganduje, The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum had earlier asked the Governor not to host Tinubu's birthday in the state.
The AYCF National President, Alhaji Yerima Shettima frowned at the use of Kano Government House as the only place in the North for celebrating Tinubu’s birthday stating that the Political Icon kept quiet while Northerners were under attack in Oyo and some parts of the Southwest.
Some southerners on the other side complained and criticized Tinubu for donating a huge amount of money to victims of the Katsina market fire while allegedly ignoring affected traders at Shasha market in Ibadan, Oyo State; and other markets razed recently in Lagos and the South-West.

Yesterday, some Nigerians, including the number one bestselling author and former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Pastor Reno Omokri staged a protest in London, demanding president Muhammadu Buhari to leave London, return to Nigeria, and fix the Nigerian hospital.

1. Leaders Will Always Be Accountable To Their Followers.
One of the fundamental principles of a democratic state is transparency and accountability. Nigerian leaders must not forget that they are put in the position of power by the citizens who will later ask for all their actions and inaction, for the period they will spend to administer the affairs of the nation.
2. Leaders Cannot Please Everybody
On the other hand, Leaders should not forget that they cannot please everybody but they can please the majority by not relenting their efforts towards the growth and development of the country.
3. Citizens Too Have Their Roles To Play In The National Development Of A Country Because Everybody's Job Is Nobody's Job
Every Citizen has an important role to play to sustain the growth and development of their country. Constructive criticism is not enough. We must all wake up to our duties and roles and be ready to support the government and our political leaders to achieve the best for our dear nation.
4. Whatever Duty Left Undone Will Later Hunt Everyone
Both the leaders and the followers in the country must know that any duty left undone now will have a negative effect or impact in the future. It is always good to address any issues that affect the stability of the country at the initial stage before they escalate.
5. Nigeria Can Be A Great Country If We All Join Hands Together To Build It.
With the support and efforts of everyone put into action, Nigeria as a country can become a great nation and an enviable country among the comity of nations.
