Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, He was a Founder Member of the defunct ANPP even though he later decamped to the PDP where he served as an Acting National Chairman. Most APC Governors are rooting for Sheriff to occupy the Top Position. Meanwhile, He is a close Ally of the Incumbent APC Chairman, Mai Mala Buni.

Senator George Akume, He has a strong Political Dominance in the North especially in Benue State where he was a Two-term Governor and a Three-term Senator, He belongs to the ANPP Bloc of the ruling party. Akume has a large followership and back up of the Presidency where he currently serves as a Minister.

Mallam Isa Yuguda, The Ex-Governor of Bauchi State has been endorsed by several Groups within the All Progressives Congress (APC). Also, he has required Political Experience to lead the party having previously served as a Minister and a Two-term Governor.
