The Minister of information and culture known as Lai Mohammed, made this warning after advising that the unity of Nigeria is of the interest and benefit of everyone especially the Nigerian elites who he accused of stimulating the disintegration of the country.
He added that those people involved in stimulating disintegration will bear the consequences if the country breaks up, citing that some Nigerian elites who have obtained professorial status may be left with no option than to work in bakeries in Togo just to survive.
Elites are expected to preach peace and unity but when they preach disunity and tribal hatred, people will believe them because the people think they know better, Lai Mohammed said.
