No fewer than 50 suspected thugs on Thursday disrupted a press conference held by a faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State.
The armed thugs invaded the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists located on the Ahmadu Bello Way in the state capital, where the meeting held.
At about 10:40 am, stones and other objects started landing on the building, preventing the meeting from proceeding.
The meeting was called by a faction in the APC to dissolve the State Working Committee led by the embattled chairman, Ubah Nana, before the proceedings were disrupted, according to the Nation.
The disruption was to prevent Mr Nana from being removed, best understood by me.
