Babatunde Gbadamosi, former PDP candidate for Lagos East senatorial district talked about the state of the nation especially the Yoruba region during his recent interview with BBC.
Mr Gbadamosi revealed that those who are old enough and can remember how Singapore looked in 1960 and the present development will definitely cry when compared with the Old Yoruba region as we are better than them before.
He made it known that Malaysia and Singapore are one country before they parted ways and since then, Singapore has developed to a level that Malaysia can't even withstand.
This statement was coming after the several agitations for the creation of Yoruba Nation due to the economic redundancy of the country coupled with the level of insecurity and killings that are recorded on daily basis.
The politician also revealed that the only mistake Awolowo made was to join Hausa/Fulani to form a country instead of fighting for Yoruba nation as a separate country.
Babatunde Gbadamosi opinioned that if MKO Abiola was able to assume the Nigeria Presidential position, the Igbo could have tasted the Presidency before now.
Igbo tribe are supposed to be the next President of Nigeria. Rotating the Presidency from North to West is just being inconsiderate, he said.
Gbadamosi believed that if Yoruba is to be the next president, it shouldn't have been someone like Tinubu who turned Lagos State a state of thuggery.
