Nyesom Wike Blows Hot, Read What He Said Would Happen If Anything Bad Happens To Gov Ortom

The worrisome state of insecurity in Nigeria is heating up really bad. The past few weeks has been frightening to all as barely a week goes by without a reported case on the subject of insecurity. Bandits continues to abduct harmless Nigerians, Boko Haram pose a threat also and most recently, prominent Nigerians like Politicians are now been attacked.

Recall earlier today, a very disturbing news of an attempted assassination on Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom trended online. It was reported that the gumen trailed him to a river bank in Tyo Mu along Makurdi-Gboko Road in Makurdi.

Reacting to the attempted assassination, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Woke has disclosed that there will be no more Nigeria if the governor is assassinated. Adding that that President Muhammdu Buhari and the All Progressive Congress (APC), will be held responsible if anything should happen to Governor, Ortom.

He made this known in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, while lamenting on the disturbing and growing trend of threat on incumbent state governors.

Things are really getting out of hand as it concerns National peace and security. Wike's statement can be considered as one born out of frustration and strong loyalty to his party (PDP).

His allegation that the federal government should be held responsible if something bad happens to Ortom, is baseless. Regardless, I think it is time to come together as a people irrespective of party affiliation and fight this common enemy (insecurity).

What do you make of this? Do you think it is an empty threat?
