UNITED NATIONS AT 75: China pledges support to the organization

With the United States looking into other world organizations to render her support as world power, China is backing the United Nations. And this is proven once again in the words of Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday.

In his remarks during a speech titled "Firmly Uphold Multilateralism and Build a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind" ,he was quoted to have said:

"Seventy-five years ago, our fathers' generation won the epic victory of the World anti-Fascist War following a heroic struggle," Wang said, adding that the ensuing decades witnessed the founding of the United Nations which has played an indispensable role in maintaining peace and promoting development.

Seventy-five years on, the world has seen profound shifts, accentuated by the enormous impact of COVID-19.

The United Nations was founded on 26th June,1945. It is an intergovernmental organization that aims to maintain international peace and security, develop friendly relations among nations, achieve international cooperation, and be a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations.
