The Indigenous People of Biafra is a platform being used by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to fight for the liberation of his people of old Eastern region, many people are of the opinion that the group should metamorphose into a political party, which will give him a platform to contest an election starting with governorship in Abia State, which will provide him an ample opportunity to effect the desired change, he wants in Biafra.
It was learnt that the IPOB leader, who has studied and lived in abroad, has seen what a civilised and sane society looks like and also what the citizens of those advanced countries enjoy, and the leader wants a replica of those things for his people.
Kanu is a lover of free and a just society, where all the citizens have equal opportunities and rights to excel in their various endeavors. He wants a comfortable and better life for his people, but he felt that Nigeria lacks those things, and that was why he decided to fight for freedom of his people, through the creation of a separate political entity.
Some opinion leaders and elites in the society are of the view that Kanu should join Nigerian politics to affect the changes, he is yearning for.
